When the sewing machine is unavailable.... Crochet

It's been so long since I've last blogged that I have nearly forgotten how to.

So, in the past couple of months, I've had trouble with my sewing machine. I really, really want a new machine, but part of me is hoping to get it fixed up properly. It's just that, I don't really want to throw out something that could be fixed, you know?
Anyway, the machine issue, coupled with the fact that my sewing area is now covered with saw-dust, makes sewing next to impossible.
Why is my sewing area covered with saw-dust? Well, I have a little area in my unfinished basement that I sew in. Long story short, we were not planning to finish the basement any time soon, but my dear friend's nephew really needed a job. He's a wonderful worker, but is trying to get out of the construction industry and is now in college so that he can work with special needs kids. Well, it's not as though the basement is going to get done any time soon, but halfway there! Meanwhile, I may need to relocate my sewing area and persuade the machine to work

So, meanwhile, I have taken up crocheting again.

It does keep me out of trouble :)

So I panicked for a bit and realized I need to learn to crochet. 'Coz what if my machine breaks down?!

But back to you, I am loving that scarf. :)
