10 Minute Shrug

I followed a youtube video tutorial:

And the result was a really elegant shrug. It was a really quick and easy project. Perhaps a last minute gift?

Some Handmade Christmas Gifts...

Every Christmas, I have hopes of making it a handmade Christmas, but experience has shown me that I tend to feel really sheepish about giving handmade gifts. I don't know why that is? Do you ever feel that way about your hand made stuff? It may be a lack of confidence on my side, perhaps?

This year, I realistically planned to make some and buy some, and sort of mix the items together.. I'm glad to report that I did end up making quite a few of the Christmas gifts.
In fact, things went so well that I forgot to document them. Ah well, I did manage to photograph some pouches and an eye pillow before they were wrapped and deposited under the tree.
Here are two of the pouches I made and an eye pillow.
I really love the fabric used :)

The pouches were all lined and zippered, and the eye pillows were filled with flax seeds. I must have made about a dozen or so of each. And they will be going to teachers (my little one alone has 6 kindergarden teachers), part of hostess gift packages etc...

This is how I packaged the eye pillows.... eeeep! I love the packaging more than the pillow :)

I made some other things as well, but they are kind of secret and will have to wait until after Christmas.
