I've had a busy week with work, and doing some work related sewing as well. To take a break, I made this top using a Simplicity 4076.

I've used this pattern many times before, but I needed some new tops.
I have always loved the twist to this top, and I've never found the front to gape despite having a small bust. I think this could be because I have wider shoulders. Anyway, something to think about if you are planning to make this top.
I do like the bell shaped sleeves. I should also learn to read my own reviews, as I forgot how short this top is drafted. I had to go back and add 4 inches at the bottom, as you can probably make out in the picture about. I was afraid it was going to look like an after-thought (which it was), but I think it looked decent enough, so I left it on.
Edit: Since I've been asked, the fabric is a knit. It's not fully cotton, but does have some stretch to it. I bought the fabric a while ago, because it was on sale and I like the look of it. I was not fully enamored with the pattern on me once I put it on, because I thought that it may have been too much. However, I do like it very much now. It has a little bit of a 70s feel to it.
I've also recycled a few of my old t-shirts into long-sleeved shirts for my girls.
I took my 2 girls shopping for winter accessories on Saturday, and boy, do I ever detest shopping. Stores have their Christmas merchandise displayed and of course, this creates a lot of temptation for my kids. They are good girls, but even they can't help but ask for stuff. I find myself saying "no" to them a lot. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem saying "no", but it does get a bit much after a while.
I digress. I was going to purchase some long t-shirts for them too, but I couldn't get out of the stores soon enough :)
Over the weekend, I went through my recycle pile and made quite a few of these:
I used t-shirts of mine that did not see any wear because they had shrunk in the dryer or grew snug.... :)
The final results were kind of cute and unique, and most importantly very practical.
