A New Top - Simplicity 2364

I can't believe I actually sewed.
I dropped by my local fabric store, and wouldn't you know it, they were having a pattern sale. I started flipping through the simplicity catalog and saw this one.

It reminded me so much of a top that I already have.

This is a top that I wear all the time, but it is beginning to show some wear and tear. I was thinking of taking the top apart to get a pattern together. Now I don't have to because I have a pattern for the exact top.

So here's the top. As you can see, it is the long-sleeved version.

Hahaha.... excuse the cheesy grin. I was trying to distract you from the bad hair. Gaaaahhhhh!
The fabric looks similar, but it's actually a blue-ish green hue.

I'm absolutely thrilled that I can make more of these tops.

This one is a little tight around the shoulders. I have small bust but wide shoulders, so I will have to make some adjustments to subsequent tops.

It is quite a good beginner top to make, save for the gathered bit right at the sleeve seam. I will write up a formal review on patternreview.com and link it here.

Whoop de dooo! I'm pretty jazzed that I sewed something, even though it's a simple top.
