I liked my daughter's polka dot skirt that I decided to make one for myself too:
It's supposed to be a gathered skirt. However, I made a mistake when cutting, and did not like to see fabric go to waste, so an almost pencil skirt it is.I'm hoping to do a recycle/reuse/refashion table with a friend (I met online!) at the a fair aimed at promoting these sort of green actions. It will be in November. I'm part excited, part scared out of my mind, but really glad to have someone like-minded to share the adventure with. An idea I have is to make gathered skirts out of vintage pillowcases. I like making skirts a lot, and I'm hoping to make some adult and kids skirts. Other than that, I'm not sure yet. I have to find some simple to make, yet popular items to sell. *So nervous* *So excited*
Have a great day, everyone!

(I`ve been following your blog for awhile now, so I figured it was time to comment! All your projects rock, and I made your apple muffins the other day and they turned out delishious!)
Oh that is just so pretty! I really love pencil skirts. And the polka dots are very stylish for grown ups.
@Kurage - well, thanks for commenting! Ah... I love that recipe! I'm glad you like the muffins too.
@Melissa - Thanks. I'm really glad it turned out a pencil skirt, actually. Polka dot gathered skirt may be too cutesy for an adult :)
Love the skirt :) Good luck getting ready for your fair!!
Oooh...have fun at the fair. Your skirt rocks!
Very cute! i love how you improvised the cutting mistake and made it into a great skirt anyways. Polka dots go with so much, especially in such a classic color and cut.
Good luck with the fair!!! That's super exciting. I'm really happy for you for taking the plunge! Do keep us updated.
