Roses to spice up a Plain Fall Top

I've been making some fall tops for my girls. Really, they are back to school play clothing. Nothing special really, just some comfortable long sleeve tops.
However, I wanted to share with you how by adding some embellishments, the plain top changes into something special.

Jessica from Happy Together shared a wonderful tutorial on how to apply gorgeous roses on a toddler's dress. If you haven't seen it yet, go enjoy that tutorial now! It has been on my to do list for the longest time, but I just had too many distractions this summer. You know how it is, right?

Anyway, I took one of the fall t-shirts, added the roses and........

The top is for my older child, but the little one insisted that she would model the top.

And then, she got camera shy.
If I can't see you, you can't see me.

These are really pretty. So glad I found someone with similar interests in the same city! I bought my first sewing machine not that long ago - it has yet to make it out of the case since my craft desk is covered with beads and beading tools. But I think I'm going to try your crochet flowers!

Too cute! I've been finding little spots and stains on the girls shirts... this could be a cute "cover up" :) Turned out great!
