1) picking peas off the vine -
and eating them raw.2) harvesting fresh spinach-
and enjoying them in a salad.
3) Seeing a beautiful bloom on the rose bush-
and having to bring the poor thing into the home because it was so heavy that it toppled it's branch.

I don't know what's different this year, but the deer have spared the roses AND the lilies by the front door - I hardly know what to do with myself! The squirrels have even left a few cherries on the tree...this might be a very, very good year. :-) (Either that, or my new neighbors have dogs that hang out on our front lawn. ;-))
