Tablecloth Chic

This week's "refashion" was a fun to make!

We have a table cloth that has never been used. It's cute, but too small for the table. I kept it, because it had a unique print and was 80% cotton. The fabric felt quite sturdy too.

Also did a quick Cheytown inspired dress. It's not even half as pretty as Cheytown's, but it's functional. If I'm feeling up to it, I may embellish it a little bit more. Currently, I'm just not in the mood, so it stays as it is. :)

I apologize for the photo. The dress is all crumpled, and my younger daughter really wanted to "take pictures", but wouldn't stay still. You know how it is!

It's getting warmer in Ottawa, Canada. By "warmer", I mean about 5 or 6 degrees Celcius. So, I think we'll try to spend some time outdoors hiking and feeding sunflower seeds to the chickadees. I hope you all have a great weekend.

The aprons are ADORABLE! How did you do the top on yours??

Such wonderful aprons! I love how they all match :) Maybe tablecloths are this year's "placemats" (seems like SO MANY projects last year involved placemats!)

Thank you!
There are two bands. One on the top, and one that goes on the waist. The piece of fabric that covers the upper body, is gathered at the top and the bottom, where the fabric meets the bands. Does that make sense?
I may end up making an apron tutorial afterall, since I've had some requests for it. I just thought that there are about a gazillion apron tutorials already, and putting another one up will be redundant! :)

The aprons are awesome, and you and the girls look great! I would've wussed-out and made throw pillow covers -- having matching aprons are much more fab! :)

I won't lie and say that I didn't think of pillow covers, Nenette :)
