Spring Hits the North

For the past 3 days, we've had signs of spring. Snow melting, wet muddy soil, chirping birds, geese returning from the south, determined kids in the playground and my favorite thing - Iris shoots poking out of the ground!
Iris Shoots - Signs of Spring by Su

Of course, I know very well that it could snow next week. However, spring, my favorite season is around the corner. I love spring because I enjoy seeing new growth on trees and shrubs. I love spring flowers, and the smell of our lavender clump (!). Do you love spring as much as I do?

It's March break, so I will have the kids to myself for the week. I've kept us out of the house because it's been so gorgeous outside. We haven't exactly been homebodies during the winter, but the springlike weather makes me want to do stuff out of the home! Tomorrow, we are going to visit the sugar bush with some friends. Maybe I can take some pretty photos to share with you.

Sugar Bush?? :)

Hooray for spring! Our poor daffodils sprouted in November, and have stayed at about 4 inches for the last 4 months.
