Pattern Review: Butterick 6482 Maternity

Before my friends who read this blog starts emailing me to ask if I'm expecting another, I should say that I am NOT pregnant.
This set is for my friend, who is pregnant with her 4th child. She confessed to me that she had bought this pattern and material for the set about 8 years ago, when she was pregnant with her first. Well, 8 years! She also mentioned that she had gave away all of her maternity clothing last year.
I told her that I could give the pattern a go. Other than myself, I have ever only made clothes for my kids. So, I told her not to expect too much.

She had brought over some lovely cotton material for the top, and thicker white material for the shorts. However, she did not have the instructions! Oh boy! By now, I was a little nervous. Really? No instructions? Hmmm....

Here's the picture that's on the front of the envelope of Butterick 6482 Fast and Easy Classics

This is the dress taken on my dress form. I would have made a size 10 for myself, so the dress form did not do the top any justice. This picture also made it look like the hemming at the bottom and the bias tape at the neckline is uneven , but it actually lays flat.
In this picture, I did not secure the straps because I wanted her to choose the length herself.

Pattern Description:
Misses - Maternity top, dress, shorts & pants

Pattern Sizing: 12-14-16. I cut size 14

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Kind of, although I think that I may have messed up around the neckline and the arms. I think I was supposed to fold it over and hem, but I could not figure out how to do it without it looking messy.
So, I used a bias tape to finish this area instead.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were missing, but I could more or less figure out everything from the pattern pieces.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's actually quite cute. Although this pattern is now out of print, I think it's actually very current.
I like that with just one pattern, you can make different tops, dresses, pants and shorts.

Fabric Used:
Cotton print for the blouse. Thicker cotton (twill blend perhaps?) for the bottom.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
I probably changed the neckline by using the bias tape. I hope she doesn't mind.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, hopefully with instructions.
Yes to the second question.

Conclusion:
Great pattern because of the versatility.
