Valentine Garlands

I was very desperate to keep the kids busy during yesterday's snow day. So when I read about Myrnie's valentine garlands, I had to follow suit.

Armed with some red and pink felt and some leftover white yarn, we made these:


I had been thinking of ways to introduce the needle and thread to my 3-yr-old and 5-yr-old, and this opportunity presented itself. I spent half the time in a panicked voice going, "Be careful! It's sharp!", and "Watch out, don't prick your fingers", and the other half, genuinely impressed by their dexterity.
