Pattern Review: Simplicity 5222 (Kids -Girl)

This is my current favorite little girl's pattern. I've made this quite a few times because it's quite simple, and the results are satisfying. I've used cotton and knit material for the dresses, and the results are satisfying.

Pattern Description:
CHILD’S Pullover dress OR Top AND Capri Pants OR Shorts
I made the dress and the top.

Pattern Sizing:
AA 2,3,4

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, it was simple. I almost did not have to follow the instructions. It was rather intuitive.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the style, and how comfortable it is. It is also so very sweet-looking.
I also like how adaptable it is, and the fact that you can mix and match fabrics to produce a whole different look

Fabric Used:
For the dresses, I used polyester knit. Something different, since I've always used cotton before. The knit is even more forgiving than cotton.
For the top, the cotton denim was from an old curtain - still in perfect shape, and the sleeves were made from cotton fabric given to me. I believe that it was thrifted.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made:
I had to adjust the elastic around the neckline a little to fit my daughters, but it was not a big deal as far as 'alterations' go.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I've sewn from this pattern many times. I highly recommend this pattern

Conclusion:
This is a great peasant top/dress pattern. Very easy to follow, and quick to put together. If the little girl that you are sewing for likes dresses, this is a great pattern to invest in.

These are the knit dresses. Too bad I couldn't bribe my little ones to model it for you. Maybe I can get some action shots.

And this is the top. With added embellishments
