Use it as a corsage, pin it on a headband, whatever you fancy!
This is my first time writing down a pattern for crochet, so please bear with me. If you spot a mistake, reach out and smack me over the head (email me) and let me know.

Oh yes, and I'm going to assume that you know the basics of crochet. If you don't crochet, consider taking it up! I think crochet is awesome!
I used a large needle (6mm) so that you can see the loops, but you can use a small needle (4mm) for a 'tighter' flower.
Crochet a Flower:
Round 1: Work 8 sc. Sl st in first st to join - 8sc
(You can switch yarn colour at this point by fastening off the first colour, and join another colour by slip stitching into a sc. In this example, I'm using the same yarn)
Round 2: Ch 1, work 16 sc into the hoop you had formed - 16sc

Round 3: Ch 6 (this counts as dc, ch3), sk next sc, *dc in next sc, ch3, sk next sc*. Rep from * around, sl st to the second chain of the ch 6 at the beginning - 8 loops

Round 4: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each of the ch-3-loops. Sl st into the first sc to join. Fasten off.

You can stop right here, but I like to add another round of petals.
Use the same color yarn, or switch yarns for variation.
Round 5: Join yarn into the st that was skipped in Round 3. (See photo). Ch 1, (sc, hdc, hdc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc) in each skipped chain. Sl st into the first sc to join. Fasten off.

Sigh, love it.
ch - chain
dc - double crochet
hdc - half double crochet
sc - single crochet
sk - skip
st - stitch
tr - treble or triple crochet
