I had made a serviceable, basic yoga mat bag out of an old robe sweater. It was OK for my own use, but I wanted to make my sister a yoga bag for Christmas. Somehow, if I'm making things for other people, a lot more care has to be taken.
A yoga bag for my sister has to have a padded and adjustable strap, because it takes her 30 minutes each way to walk to her class.

Using Bored and Crafty's instructions as a guide, I managed to pull together the bag.

On to how I made this particular yoga mat bag...

Assemble the strap, and thread the ribbon through the casing.
You have yourself a very decent looking yoga mat bag.
I'm happy to say that my sister LOVED it.

At first I read this as "Yoda bag", and spent a while looking at the picture trying to decide what it had to do with Yoda. "No, Cam, it's yoGa". "Oh.", says Cam.
"Cam, you must unlearn what you have learned. Once you start down the dark path...
oh nevermind, Su" says Su
