Finally!
The kitchen floor is Tiled. I spent most of yesterday washing the tiles after Norman(hubby) applied the grout. Today, I sealed the grout, and put in most of the quarter rounds.
Tada!!

Oh, ignore the missing dishwasher. Norman was too tired to install it today. He'll get it done tomorrow.
I'm tired too, but I liked the tile so much so I tried to do Savasana on it. Well, I was also exhausted. That lasted about 30 seconds, when I was forced to get up to stop due to the shivers of cold. That's one of the disadvantages of tiled floor, but I'm more than willing to ignore that.
I'm glad with did the work ourselves:
1)The tile improves the value of the house. The linoleum on there before was stained and ripped.
2)It's easier to clean.
3)Norman and I feel so productive! It's a great sense of achievement.
4)We saved - get this - C$2600! We were quoted $3000 by a contractor. I'm sure it may have been less if I shopped around a little bit more. Originally, we had budgeted $800 for a DIY tiling project, but we got a great deal from the Home Depot. We also borrowed some equipment from my friend, Janet. That saved us quite a bit in terms of tool rentals.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling now. It's the mix of excitement and exhaustion!
